The Hat factory

Walking into Lux Periam Hat Factory is like walking into an Industrial Museum. 
 ”It is difficult for a woman to work with a heavy press or to carry the cloches with her hands, but you get used to it”, says Lenuta Ruja, while carrying dozens of cloches on top of her head,  preparing to press them. She is one out of ninety employees at the factory.  Only one tenth of the workers  from the 1920´s  remain, the century when hats were trendy and high in fashion. Lux Periam Hat Factory in Romania is probably  one of our last genuine hat factorys where the trade is still performed in the old-fashioned way.
