A New Spring

It is Sunday afternoon and although it is a lovely day in the springtime,  the dance floor at the dating club ”New Spring” in Shanghai is crowded and buzzing. Grandpas are swinging, grandmas are twisting,  dancers groove sideways across the dance floor and back. In the front by the mirrors, a man is practicing his headstand. This is a story about old traditions ceasing to matter,  about people  finally being free to express themselves without being pulled down by societys´expectations, duties and norms.
